Rolly Romero: “Ryan Garcia will MURDER” George Kambosos Jr

By Sean Jones: Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero is predicting Ryan Garcia will “Murder” lightweight champion George Kambosos Jr. if the two fight this year.

Ryan (21-0, 18 KOs) is potentially on deck for the 28-year-old Kambosos’ next opponent, should he get past his April 9th opponent Emmanuel Tagoe (32-1, 15 KOs) at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

In the meantime, Kambosos is expected to keep “them beautiful belts” safe while he waits for the smoke to clear from the Ryan vs. Tagoe fight

Rolly thinks Kambosos (20-0, 10 KOs) is just a “bum,”‘ who lucked out by fighting former IBF/WBA/WBC Franchise/WBO lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez last November when he was injured, suck and hadn’t sparred at all for the fight due to injuries and being sick.

Romero isn’t impressed with what he’s seen of Kambosos, and he feels that he’ll be dethroned as the four-belt champion by the time he gets his shot at fighting him.

“Kambosos is a bum. He’s not going to be there by the time I get there, so what’s the point?” said Rolly Romero to Fighthype on the Australian Kambosos’s 15 minutes of fame as a four-belt lightweight champion will be over with soon.

“Ryan will murder him. Ryan has a left hook from hell,” said Rolly when asked if Ryan Garcia will beat Kambosos if they fight this year. “And Teofimo was off that day, clearly,” Rolly said about Teofimo Lopez not being at his best in his close 12 round split decision defeat against Kambosos Jr. on November 27th.

There’s a high probability that Ryan Garcia will knockout Kambosos and end his short reign as a four-belt champion.

Teofimo had Kambosos badly hurt twice in their fight, and the only reason he didn’t finish him off was due to his poor stamina.

If Ryan scores a knockout over Kambosos, it’s going to take his career to the next level, and it’s going to be huge.

One positive that would come from Ryan ripping the titles from Kambosos is that we won’t see all this prolonged confusion over who he’ll fight next.

“I mean, when have you ever seen Teofimo fight anything like that?” said Rolly. “And he was injured and didn’t spar for damn near two months because I was here and I saw it.

“I’m like, ‘Mother f***, you need to spar.’ He’s like, ‘No, it’s going to be alright, it’s going to be alright,’  because he was injured. And that fight was still 50-50. It could have went honestly either way.

“I thought it was so close that it should have went to the champion [Teofimo]. F*** no,” said Rolly when asked if Kambosos was better than people thought. “Hell, no. Because Teofimo jumped into a punch because he was off balance?

“You don’t spar for damn near two months and you go into a 12 round fight. If Kambosos was good, Teofimo would have been knocked the f*** out cold and that’s the truth.

“If he [Kambosos] was a decent fighter, he would have been knocked out, Teo would have been knocked out cold,” said Rolly Romero on Teofimo not being at his best against Kambosos.
